I was always wondering if some high school kids can run an NG/web combo based discussion forum so well for Linux, why the grownups en/women at Sun couldn't for Solaris/OpenSolaris?

Yesterday, eWeek reported that Novell will be launching a community-based Linux distribution, OpenSuSE, in an apparent attempt to model what RedHat is doing with regard to Fedora:

It didn't take long for Novell to realize the Achilles heel of its Linux program. Before doing/planning anything extravagant, perhaps someone responsible for maintaining this forum could absorb the pride & take a look at what the Fedora Core community is doing.

No disrespect intended.

Really? I'd hate to see what the disrepesctful version looked like.

As I said before, I am always open to any ideas that make things better/easier to use and will happily check the Fedora Core forums. I would also like to request that we take comments, suggestions and rants regarding the website over to website-discuss.

I am cross-posting this message to website-discuss with the goal of moving this thread over.

This is a tough job.
