It must be, because my experience with creating Debian packages has
been anything but pleasant. Creating Debian packages far more complex
than writing (what can be) a relatively simple RPM .spec file and
calling rpmbuild. It's possible dpkg is technically suerior, but RPM
was far easier for me to learn and has been far easier to use.
