Bitter? Why??? Let's look at the cold hard facts...how old is your Ultra1
today? I know folks like the Ultra2 especially (hi Ben!;-) a lot also, and in
their time the systems were good, but how old is that product? I honestly
don't know, but they're old...

My point is, tell me one vendor that will support hardware that old on the
very lastest OS.

Keep in mind, Sun still supports your hardware on Solaris 9, so I'm not sure
why you're so upset, but 10 is that much better.;-) Those are still
functional systems and will do much of what folks need to do.

Have you actually built and installed OpenSolaris to any machines yet?

Few people I know do that, and you need a system to be able to compile it.

What version of Solaris do you run?

Schillix.

You should be. That's why I said you can probably get them off a Solaris 10 GA
CD, which you can download for free. The Sun product should include the SHWP
code. Use it and build OpenSolaris with it.

I would contact Fujitsu, it's their hardware. My experience with Fujitsu is
pretty positive.
