If you have ideas on what to do to evangelize the community, I'd like to
know and would be happy to spend time on this. I'm fairly new to
OpenSolaris.org, and sorry if the information was discussed somewhere
before. I work in the globalization organization at Sun and posted a
couple of suggestions on translation and localization testing process in
the i18n discuss list, but haven't seen a single reply. ;-)

First welcome!
Second, you can follow a lot of general conversation on this discuss
list for evangelism topics, but for more marketing-specific discussions
you can sign up to the marketing list:

The OpenSolaris marketing community list is growing very nicely as more
marketers get involved from throughout the community.
Also, the OpenSolaris marketing team at Sun has started a marketing
community, so over time OpenSolaris marketing will be true community
effort. You can see their page here:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/marketing/
We also have a nascent user group community going here:

On the issue of lack of replies to the i18n discuss list, I'll check
into that. We have 54 lists now -- which is massive, so it's tough for
me to keep up -- but some lists may be premature and not active just
yet. I think it's a reflection of getting a large project like this up
and running with very little infrastructure. Hang in there with us. :)
Best,
Jim G.
