Solaris Express requires 256MB of RAM:
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2423/6n4nbudua?a=view
(note: Solaris Express 10/05 was Solaris Express Community Release build
23, so this memory requirement will be true for subsequent Nevada builds
as well, including your build 24 you downloaded)

I have downloaded the Open Solaris (Solaris Express Build 24, CD 1, English for
x86 platforms). I have trouble installing Open Solaris on my pentium III, ~
128 MB system.
I already had Linux Fedora core 2 installed on this system previuosly and had
also once successfully installed Solaris 9 installed on the same system.
The Fedora Info Center reported that the Total Physical memory is 123.18 MB.
When I try to boot form the 1st install CD of Open Solaris, it displays a console which
says "GNU GRUB version 0.95 (640K lower/ 129024K upper memory)" and there are
three options. I have tried all options, one after the other and get the same result.
It give a message "Booting 'Solaris' " and the third line reads
module /boot/x86.miniroot and displays a few dots.
Thereafter it says
Error 28: Selected item cannot fit into memory
Could anyone help me with how to install Open Solaris on this machine without
enhancing the memory?
