I also prefer a community, but CIFS goes beyond just the client work we're 
doing and opening up. There's client and server-side, both native and 
public-domain (like Samba). It's far more than just SMBFS. That's just one 
implementation aspect of supporting CIFS on Solaris. Even more broadly, native 
integration of another file sharing protocols introduces lots of opportunities 
to pull in expertise from the community. I'd expect discussions on how to treat 
those virtually, much as we do with file systems. I also expect dialog around 
how to address security and manageability across these protocols. Eventually, 
I'd expect a similar community evolving around winfs. Those should be lively ;-)
