I don't see this really helping. There are a lot of systems on the Sun
pricelist
with less than 4G of RAM. There are a lot of older systems with less
than 4G of
RAM. I'm guessing that 1G is more typical for a current
laptop/desktop/small server.

The people with the 4G (and with the growth in software, how long before
this trick
requires 8G?) systems are going to be those who can drop a flash archive
straight
onto the machine, or have some other capable infrastructure to do the
job properly.
