Note that pkgrm just removes one package, and if you have multiple packages or configurable sets, it's clumsy at best. The product registry is a bit better, but somewhat on the obscure side for many users. Though I agree it's unfortunate, it is the case that many things -- including Sun's own products -- come with custom install/uninstall scripts.
