Should you wish to join the Solaris Community project at Blastwave then you are welcome to do so. There are many things to do and we are busy with a new OpenSolaris distro for Sparc that was just released and numerous software packages need to be migrated into the new unified build system at Blastwave. Your input and work on some software packages would be greatly appreciated. Your software packages would then be put through the testing phases and released to the public via the mirror servers. Bug reports collected. Progress is made. This is how we do things. This morning I see 1470 software packages in the unstable tree and 37 more in the queue to be added. That will bring us over 1500 software packages for Solaris users. Work continues to bring these packages into SchilliX. You are welcome to join. I am always in support of one Solaris user working to help another Solaris user. That it what a "community" is really all about. The requirements for this project were scoped out years ago and the decisions were made then. I look forward to the new discussion list and I will try to make time to join in. Right now I have much to do to get Nexenta and BeleniX servers built for the Blastwave stack which is available to Solaris people to join. -- Dennis Clarke _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
