Gee, when did this happen ?

Warning: rpm is obsolete for this device and will be ignored.
Warning: number of alternate sectors per cylinder is obsolete for this
device and will be ignored.

I have an old old disk here that I generally specify this sort of thing :

newfs -s 3895720 -b 4096 -f 1024 -m 5 -r 3600 -i 1024 -a 2 -C 1
/dev/rdsk/c5t5d0s0

and all of a sudden .. I get told that I can not specify 2 alternate sectors
per cylinder anymore.

Must be just an artifact of days gone by, like the old format.dat file.

Perhaps mkfs(1M) still supports these ?
