One wonders at the stupidity of companies that insist on provisions like this, especially in this increasingly open world in which we live. Perhaps the originators of the code don't want to be embarresed by admitting they don't want to open their code. If the original writer of the code doesn't want their code released, that's their right and that's OK, but it would sure be nice if they would allow their identity and reasons to be known. After all, what have they got to lose? Their code is still kept secret. -- Rich Teer, SCNA, SCSA, OpenSolaris CAB member President, Rite Online Inc.
