So that it can match iprb, ixgb, elxl, e1000g, eri, dnet, pcn,
sk98sol, spwr, pcelx, and rtls?

Seriously, I hope this renaming is *NOT* happening.  Renaming is a
serious matter, particularly for network drivers, because it forces
users to modify configuration files scattered across the system.

There's no requirement whatsoever that Ethernet drivers end with the
letter 'e'.  It's not even particularly helpful.
