Because it tries to use a statement that is true in its negation but not the
way it is published!

It is definitely true that not all possible combinations of CDDL & GPL code
are allowed but it is definitely complete nonsense to believe that the reverse
is true too.

You are already a victime of the FSF FUD.

The GPL does not contain the term "linking". Using this term in
explanations/FAQs (as done by the FSF) is pure FUD.

Nobody with sane mind will ever try to argue that you cannot forbid
a GPLd program to let it use libc (which is CDDL).

The GPL speaks in terms of "the work" (see Copyright) and not in terms of
linking. The GPL clearly allows a GPLd work to use an unrelated (thus not
a "derived work") non GPLd work.

Eben Moglen even explained that the "OS exception" is only in the GPL because
he and the FSF have ben in fear that the GPL could be missunderstood.
Eben Moglen clearly states that the above way of using other work does not
need any exception because it is just permitted. It is obvioux that this is
nothing that is seen with pleasure by the FSF and e.g. Debian bit it is
a matter of facts.

As the main problems we currently have with Debian and others
are caused by this kind of FUD, we need to find a strategy against it.
