Certainly i want build opensolaris under linux not for "enterprise production" reasons :)
1 it is perfect educating prоcess(building under solaris IMHO do not give such understanding of build process) 2 under linux i have solid/configured environment that i do not want configure again,(in other words - recreating working environment is very challenging for me, SXCR is not debian) i don't like solaris packaging system, hier, and many other things. I want build distribution for personal use and experiments, with kernel-source-package and tools that are required for building process, very small ~200 mb (Slax like) and i am not alone in this "wanting" 3 “cross opensolaris form scratch” sounds good now funny reasons :) 4 i am too lame for buying another hdd or resizing current. Сreating large file, fdisk it,grub it, then run under qemu looks easier for me (for testing builds) This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
