As a point of (probably pointless) dissent: I absolutely *HATE* the fact that we cave in to the harvesters by putting utterly useless and too-cutesy-for-words "foo at blah dot blech" text on our web site. It makes the site just plain brutal to work with -- I'm always having to translate back into "normal format" so that I can tell someone the right address to use -- and there's a fair bit of evidence that this bit of obfuscation in fact does no real good because even modestly competent address harvesters have become skilled at detecting those usage patterns and translating back mechanically. You could go a step further and convert all the text into wavy GIF images. Or translate it all into some dead language.
