Quoting a portion of the previous message will help establish some
context here.
Your subject line seems to say that you're using Solaris Express
("sxce"). There are no IDRs (or patches) for Solaris Express.
There's no way to apply a fix for Solaris 10 to Solaris Express.
In fact, patches are specific to a given release, so you can't use S9
OS patches on S10, and so on.

If you're talking about Solaris Express, you don't. If you're talking
about S10, then use "patchadd -R." For x86, you need to unpack the
boot archive first. (Documentation on that is widely available.)
