I can assure you that everyone approached it with an open mind. I had
never even heard of most candidates (like Mercurial), but was simply
convinced in the end that Mercurial was the best choice. The result
wasn't fixed beforehand at all.
I understand that you did not like the outcome, which is fine. But
there's no need to come up with baseless accusations just because your
favorite tool wasn't picked.
