That's gotta be a rhetorical question, still here goes... There's two (contridictory) attitudes at slashdot: 1)If it's not Linux, it's crap 2)Apple can do no wrong There's more to it than that (their perception that Sun has waffled between supporting and condemning open source, resentment over Sun's control of Java), but even if you removed those factors, Sun would never been good enough simply because they're not Ubuntu or Gentoo or Apple.
