The graphical tools for administration and install have only gotten worse since SunOS 3.5 (install) and Solaris 2.1 (administration). I remember installing SunOS 3.x with a graphical installer (booted from tape) which showed a picture of the disks and allowed me to partition them. In Solaris 2.1, there was a thing called swmtool (or some such) which allowed you to install missing packages in a Solaris distribution. (Of course, our current patch system really doesn't allow installing packages after the system has been patched) Casper _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
