This expression is substantially broader than my position, which I held due to the immaturity of the project. My position is that we could not yet investigate the notion of a reference release of OpenSolaris, because we had insufficient participation. It may be that, with a new Board and more active Community Groups and a set of identified contributors, a proper exploration of these issues can be begun. Most of the preliminary discussions I was in suggest that it could become very complicated, if done at an "all consolidations and all software" scale. But, as we move out of bootstrap, responsibility for that priority call passes to the Board and the CGs.
