Have you sent files that demonstrate this problem to the oo.o folks?
Improving the compatibility as much as possible would take away excuses,
I think, and the more samples of problematic files (minimal if possible,
no private data, and accompanied by a description of the feature that
was the problem and nature of the problem; maybe by screen shots in
Word or PowerPoint and the OO/SO equivalents too), the sooner they
might be able to fix those problems, assuming they want to.
