Oh, well I went and did it..
I normally don't reply here, but I felt the need to ring in with a
question.

I read through all the discussions and couldn't figure what this was the
best reply to, but can someone jog my memory?

'What does this have to do with OpenSolaris?'

'Who writes the outline, goals, and product tree for OpenSolaris?'

'Who makes the decisions of what goes in/out of OpenSolaris?'

It was in my understanding that Sun sponsors this community and provides
resources for the creation of a better operating system.

Is it too much to ask for the community 'behind' the future operating
system to be informed of such decisions? Even proposals??

If anyone of us went out and sold our spouse's car without asking, and
plopped something new in their lap without even a consultation, I don't
think it would go over to well.

Yet, time and time again it appears that this is exactly what happens
with the people behind the PR @ Sun. Did I take the wrong hyperlink and
end up in Cuban domain?

If none of the Staff working for Sun even have any idea what is
happening behind all their own work, how does Sun feel about us?

Just a hypothetical question;
Why should we buy hardware/support from a corporation who doesn't even
share it's views with it's workers, and even more important, it's
volunteers?

Regards?,
