Reality check: OpenSolaris is the fastest growing operating system on this 
planet. If you had just bothered to check the change logs, you probably 
wouldn't have made the above remark.

I don't see any problems in traditional UNIXes. On the contrary. Perhaps you 
would be so kind as to share a few of the problems with us?

As a side note, I just had a brush-in with Linux today. The dumb thing was 
telling me that there was no space left on device, when there was ~120GB free 
space available, instead of telling me what the real problem was, and that is 
that the filesystem in question was out of inodes. Luckily I had enough 
experience and understanding of *UNIX* to figure out what the problem actually 
was.

I don't want Solaris to be as dumb as that, by behaving like Linux. It gives a 
whole new meaning to the age old saying "as dumb as a doornail".
