I realize the Indiana Project is in the early requirements stage,
nevertheless I think it would be _very_ useful to note the alignment
between where the Indiana project appears to be headed and the
design goals
of the BeleniX OpenSolaris developer community.
Why should a project like Indiana support a Sun internal project?
Please explain. That seems like a very inaccurate label.
Well, Belenix is a project run by a Sun employee. Do you believe it is
not a Sun project?
I work in Moinak's team. This is *not* one of the things that Moinak
or the rest of the team is officially mandated to do. Its just done in
"free time" and weekends !
This is a project born entirely out of my personal interest and I
have been
dedicating large chunks of my evenings, late nights and weekends on this
project.
SUN does *not* in any way deal with any BeleniX matters. What happens
with this distro is entirely the BeleniX core contributor's decisions
based on
community feedback and contributions.
We dedicate our free time and sometimes even our own money to this
project.
I have purchased the BeleniX.ORG domain. The project is hosted on the
OpenSolaris community website infrastructure at Genunix.ORG. I had
initially
approached Sourceforge but they put the request on hold for further
review!
They I had the good fortune to interact with Al Hopper and Ben Rockwood
who have helped immensely.
BTW thanks to Gueven Bay very soon you will see German translations of
the BeleniX website coming up.
Regards,
Moinak.
Cheers,
Ananth
