The other side of things is: Windows users like Windows because they are used to the thing. I do not really care for the Unix world vs Gnu world. I have really only asked for one thing: debian package management tools or similar. No Solaris patch system thank you. A transparent repository and its tools. You can argue all you like about GNU this vs Solaris that be it the shell, tar and what not, I really do not care.
