Have a look at Microsofts Channel 9 - you can listen to engineers speal of the changes they've made to Windows kernel, the benefits, etc. etc. What it sounds like is that the individual wants a guide to show them through the system, the features, the ideas behind them etc. Its like wanting a book about Christianity without actually needing or wanting to be a Christian.
