It's unclear what you're asking, but I *think* you're asking about
some sort of bytes-per-second limit.

If so, then there is no such limit.  Particular platforms or systems
may have limits due to design or capacity of the system, but the OS
places no limits of its own.

Where did you come up with that number?  What's it in reference to?

Perhaps your question would be better asked on
[EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED],
and with some more context.  (Are you concerned about a particular
system, CPU, network adapter, disk driver, or something else?)
