Yes; I do all of those things with my home system running Solaris
Express.

That all sounds like supported hardware to me, but check the HCL to
make certain.

CIFS/SMB should be no problem if you know how to use samba.

The Tigon3 should work with the existing 'bge' driver, as that
supports BCM5721.

It sounds quite doable.  The one issue you may run into is the
currently relatively-high memory requirement for the installer itself
-- it needs 768MB to run.
