As we know Indiana is future of Solaris, but there is lots of things about
which must continue discussions.

1. There is need to provide Solaris installation without graphical desktop. The
graphical desktops (KDE, XFce, GNOME, Window Maker, IceWM, FVWM, ...) must be
on additional place allowing to choose which to install. Now Indiana provide
GNOME integrated. The GNOME must be not integrated!!!
All desktops which are listed in: (www.xwinman.org) website must be supported
for Solaris.

2. There must be in future fully Gentoo installation philosophy allowing to
compile kernel sources and adjust it for computer on which you are doing
install.
The sources of all packages must be possible to downloaded and put them on
other media or external hard disk. There is need possibility to start
distribution creation using USB Flash drive, Zip, Jaz and then in end of
creation saving distribution in iso file format on network or partition or any
connected disk or computer.

There must be to variants of Solaris in future:
1) Standard installation as said in 1.
2) Possibility to create installation as said in 2.

I recently provide idea about Gentoo model and now I want continue discussions
because it is best way how to fully optimize Solaris on which hardware you are
making compilation.

Sorry, I know that some will not accept my ideas, but in my means Gentoo model
must be too for Solaris users and in Indiana installation must be added options
which will allow to chose which graphical desktop to install!!!

Thank you.

Kind Regards,
Girts
