I took note of this based on NTP data after a reboot : Note the delta_t > 0.5 sec issue here after a reboot http://www.blastwave.org/articles/BLS-0063/callisto_peerstats_delay.png Here we see the offset from correct time jumping quickly into sync and it takes nearly 2 hours before the server arrives into +/- 10 msec of correct time : http://www.blastwave.org/articles/BLS-0063/callisto_peerstats_offset.png So .. people are aware of the issue ( at least I am ) and I can confirm via data that you are in fact seeing the issue.
