I guess you are joking, but I'll indulge in pointing the obvious: the notorious Sun marketing wants to track who is downloading Nevada. I guess they figure they can get the poor IT guys to do the slaving and perform the data mining for them. The end goal should be obvious, not all Nevada downloads are by geeks. Some of the people downloading might actually have money, or work at places willing to shell out money for overpriced Sun gear! No wonder why Sun marketing is so notoriously bad. Irritating: OpenSolaris should have NOTHING to do with Sun, especially Sun marketing. The fact that it still does is frustrating, to say the least.
