Hello, Thank you everyone for all of the answers. I was able to rip an old DVD out of one of my junk boxes and it worked just fine, which was great since the Goldstar cdrom that was in my U5 seemed like it was on it's last legs (and I have had problems with Goldstar device quality in the past)
As for Graphics, I'll just have to bide my time and see what comes along on ebay now and then, so I can get a proper Sun card. I have recompiled various applications across different hardware and software configurations, but I think device drivers are beyond my capability. On the subject of UPA cards, I was really just asking out of curiosity, I know that Creator cards are technically supported, but the UPA slot in the U5 is sideways (I assume in the U10 it is correct because of it's tower case) so I am not even sure how I would work one..
