hi i just wat to thank everyone her for helping me get my Sata Drives working.
Not only did i get them working by turning Raid off, but also i have them now as UFS and no longer NTFS i have Solaris Express on here at the moment and waiting for Compiz, on the next release and not sure when the next,release will be out or the version number of it. i have tried the test version and i thought it was good. It even had compiz working but i was unable to play my avi movies. The mplayer package i had goten from the ocean site did not work on the test version but only works on Solaris express and Solaris 10 and the package manager did not have what i needed for them to work either. Totem complains too much about encoders and ac3. Personally i prefer to have mplayer working on that test version. till the new Solaris comes out. i dont care for Belenix although KDE is good id rather have KDE on Solaris one day eventually if i ever know how to compile it.. The onely thing i ever did was rebuild a kernal in BSD i never knew anything about Solaris till a few weeks ago. from a friend who uses it at work. i do have Mplayer working on Solaris express at the moment though but with no compiz. i know no one really needs compiz. It is kind of a toy to play with for a while to show mother,gradma and family for a while then dont user it anymore really lol.but its still nice to have.
