Thanks for the comment. Once you spend some time with OpenSolaris 2008.05, even though this is only a first iteration, you will really enjoy it. But we definitely need wake-up calls like this. Re the e1000g NIC problem, I have posted a work around: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=61343&tstart=50 This problem is so serious, I am really puzzled why nobody else is paying attention. Regarding wifi, I don't really use built-in card anymore. Rather, I am using the AirLink101 AWLC4130 PCMCIA wifi card on various notebooks. Please see some of the info that I posted at the Indiana forum: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=61332&tstart=0 It actually works quite well. If you have problem with the built-in wpi0, perhaps you could follow the steps that I described in that thread (i.e., re-installing the wpi0 driver).
