It depends on what you will do. For testing out and development
OpenSolaris 2008.05 is a good choice. For stable production (on a
laptop???) Solaris 10 is better.
I recommend yoy to choose OpenSolaris 2008.05

Linux? What has Linux to do with this? However OpenSolaris 2008.05 will
automagically connect you via DHCP just like you are used to from Windows.
