Try running the manufacture disk utility to run a low level format verify all the cylinders are good, repartition the disk with Solaris fdisk dvd in shell command like under single user mode or when you run the Solaris installer on the dvd and select initial install with custom options and leave 8meg free unused partition space are using the whole disk for Solaris2 under fdisk or if sharing with windows for example windows fdisk as a default install for fat32 or ntfs partition also leaves about 8meg free for cylinder rounding errors and EFI label space at the end of the physical disk as you should for Solaris2 fdisk partition as well.
Also when you get to the Solaris installer format to divvy up the slices within the Solaris2 fdisk partition you do not want neg numbers rounding errors, this causes these types of errors that the 6650131 talks about. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
