Yes, I was talking about DRI support, sorry for being unclear. And yes - I was talking `bout Nvidia drivers.
Information - well, from my experience. My position is simple - if I have ATI Radeon, and it`s NOT working that good (i.e. DRI, speed) like similar Nvidia gear in the same operating system - I call this "badly supported hardware for particular OS". I don`t know is it fault of ATI, or someone`s else, I don`t have info to be reliable source of that info. Only thing I know from my experience - overall UNIX support is better for Nvidia gear, rather than ATI. At last there are specific drivers (closed-src binary-only, whatever, I don`t really care...I just want it to work :) ) for Nvidia GPU, and there are no specific drivers for ATI. That`s it :) And I really happy, that Sun devs are working towards resolving this issue. `Cos, you know, me too have ATI Radeon GPU in my notebook :) -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
