Ok, there I agree with you. It was supported in previous Solaris releases and just didn't make it into OpenSolaris, yet. Should be a small fix. I do not understand it myself 100%, sometimes it can be difficult to schedule minor things, while you are building with huge blocks of granite. Expect fixes like that to come rather soon.
