Solaris is based on the original AT&T UNIX (probably still has some ancient Ken 
Thompson and Dennis Ritchie and AT&T code kicking around in the kernel 
somewhere). Since Solaris came first and Solaris largely follows the standards 
of POSIX and of System V R4 UNIX, I think GNU / Linux is the one that is the 
deviant and should probably change itself to become more UNIX-like and more 
standards compliant not the other way around.

Anybody here disagree with me?
