Hello,
I'm proceeding with upgrade from SXDE 1/08 (snv 79a) to OS 2009.06 and it seems
I start to get issue with my board built in Marvel NICs. The board is Asus
P5W64 WS Professional and it provides Marvel 88E8001 and 88E8052 chip based
NICs. On SXDE I've used driver provided by the SysKonnect.de site (version
8.19.1.3) and both NICs were rock solid. I've tried the same on a new OS
2009.06 install, but suddenly I got an issue where one or second NIC just tell:
Jun 10 06:49:37 silence skge: [ID 348342 kern.notice] skge1: Network connection
down on port A
Jun 10 06:49:39 silence skge: [ID 418734 kern.notice] skge1: Network connection
up on port A
Jun 10 06:49:39 silence skge: [ID 249518 kern.notice] Link Speed: 100
Mbps
Jun 10 06:49:39 silence skge: [ID 966250 kern.notice] Autonegotiation: Yes
Jun 10 06:49:39 silence skge: [ID 676895 kern.notice] Duplex Mode: Full
Jun 10 06:49:39 silence skge: [ID 825410 kern.notice] Flow Control:
Symmetric

Since this might be old driver issue, I've also attempted to test driver
obtained directly from Marvell.com site (version 10.0.3.3) and the problem is
the same:
Jun 10 15:08:41 silence yukonx: [ID 348342 kern.notice] yukonx0: Network
connection down on port A
Jun 10 15:08:42 silence yukonx: [ID 418734 kern.notice] yukonx0: Network
connection up on port A
Jun 10 15:08:42 silence yukonx: [ID 249518 kern.notice] Link Speed:
100 Mbps
Jun 10 15:08:42 silence yukonx: [ID 966250 kern.notice] Autonegotiation: Yes
Jun 10 15:08:42 silence yukonx: [ID 676895 kern.notice] Duplex Mode:
Full
Jun 10 15:08:42 silence yukonx: [ID 825410 kern.notice] Flow Control:
Symmetric

Please note that skge1 and yukonx0 is the same 88E8001 NIC. (on sxde this was
actually skge0).

Do you have any idea what has happened in OS development between snv79a and
snv111b that my NICs are not that good anymore?

Thanks!
Karel
