yes, I'm now using yukonx driver. I hope it's the latest greatest provided by
Marvel and in addition myk driver does not seem to support 88E8001 NIC which
would mean I'm loosing one NIC for it.
Anyway, let's make long story short. After a lot of troubles I switched to
Intel NIC and viola it was even more sensitive to this link down and up issue.
So I got a knowledge that Marvel is probably not to be blamed. I also verified
that the issue is duplicable on my old SXDE 1/08 install and then go and
switched cables. This does not help and then I started to suspect my ZyXEL ADSL
router and it was the culprit really. For now it's kind of fixed already by
flashing of new firmware (recommended by ZyXEL support staff), but I'll keep
my eye on it.
