Thanks for your reply, however my comments are probably of no help and often
serve merely as a placeholder for my own fugal attempt at understanding the
complexity of this stuff. I don't know how SUN tracks either its own compiled
bits or gcc compiled stuff as it relates to the build/troubleshoot of a machine
service {.opensolaris.org} but if you get no reply try posting to the author of
this thread. He is far more knowledgeable than I.
