Opensolaris is probably easier to install than any Linux distribution I've ever
used, certainly easier than any of the big 3 BSDs. Sure binary packages don't
exist for every package under the sun (no pun intended) yet, but most apps are
pretty straightforward compiles. If you lack the technical expertise to do
that, you'll just have to wait until someone is generous enough to do it for
you and publish their results.
