Odd, the XVR-200 was the PCI-E (x1) 32 VRAM graphics card used for the Sun Fire
T2000. I remember Sun also used the Matrox G4xx/5xx as a 3D x86 card a long
time ago (or at least I remember a few of Sun engineers with one).
Anyhow, the Sun XVR-300 card superceded it - didn't it?!?

Well, the X11 "core" is what I'm actually pointing out. But ocrrect, the X11
implementations vary so saying Xorg wasn't defiantly correct. Hum bug.

Yes, I know this (my fault in category placement, but I did mention I was
'slashing' things together quickly for posting). Oh well.

The point comes down to Sun SPARC workstation/server users desiring
'replacement' PCI/PCI-E cards and 'Xorg' compatible drivers if Sun does not
provide certain 'Xorg' 2D/3D video drivers for OpenSolaris SPARC distros like
OSOL 2010.02 or MilaX.

The related issue is using pre-existing XSun-compatible video drivers or some
new hybrid closed source Xorg 7.4/7.5 compatible drivers to support the legacy
Sun 2D/3D graphic cards beyond future SNV_130 and higher consolidations.
Especially, existing SPARC workstation/server customers owning legacy 'PCI' 3D
workstation graphics cards like the Sun XVR-500/XVR-600/XVR-1200 in which
buying the Sun XVR-2500 PCI-E graphics card is not an option.

Anyhow, we'll always have Paris...
