Thanks for the help. Memtest86 declared that my memory is working well. At
this point, I'm hoping that the power-supply is flaky. I'll know when the
replacement enclosure arrives. After that, I've replaced everything but the
drives themselves.
I'd like to try a later version of OSOL for two reasons:
1) The problem started when I switched from SXCE to OSOL (I was up to ~121 in
SXCE at the time).
2) There will be support for SATA multiplexers so I can replace 5 cables with 1.
Upgrading to dev repo for this server scares me. I do this regularly on a
laptop and I've never had an upgrade that didn't require manual fixups and
introduced some regressions. I've actually seen a similar reboot issue on the
laptop with 131 but it somehow fixed itself as I was about to give up. March
and a (hopefully) stable release can't come soon enough.
I would not assume a reboot loop means bad hardware. It could
definitely be the result of a bad interaction between the kernel and
your hardware. If you want to help track down the bug causing this
issue, it would be great if you could try a few things, although it will
take some of your time.
For example, if you install build 128 instead, does that get stuck in a
reboot loop?
In other words, if you can find at which build you started having
problems, that would be extremely helpful in trying to resolve your issue.
