There has been no such change. Since 64 bit support was first added to Solaris
x86 for Solaris 10, the convention has always been directories named amd64,
and symlinks named "64" point at them. There were a couple bugs in how those
were handled in the move of X from /usr/X11 to /usr - but those are bugs we're
fixing, not an intentional change of directory naming.
