Yep, the same cdrecord commands that I've been using for years work on OpenSolaris. > I like Nero, because I can aggregate various directories, click twice, > and my DVD comes out verified five minutes later. The barrier is one of your own making. You've decided that a particular software product is very important to you. There's nothing wrong with that, but OpenSolaris isn't the best match for people for whom Nero is a requirement. For what it's worth, the same growisofs commands I've been using for years work just fine with OpenSolaris. I agree that the available graphical media burning software is crap, but that's why I don't use it. *shrug* > > People are rightfully worried about the future of OpenSolaris, but by having > some basic things be so difficult and time-consuming, just to get the basics > of usability running, only exacerbate the problem by limiting adoption. There's a lot of Chicken Little Syndrome right now. If the people who are running around wringing their hands about the future of OpenSolaris used that same time an energy to actually produce something useful the world and community would be a better place. The basic things that are common to UNIX and GNU systems are there. Nero is not a "basic thing" that is common to UNIX operating systems. > > So I reiterate my question: has anyone gotten Nero Linux to run in a > Zone, and if so, what's the best way to set it up? If the Nero software is a requirement for your needs, then OpenSolaris is probably not the best fit for you. You would be better served by using an OS that Nero supports. -Sean _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
