When you consider the man-hours something like that would require, it's not
completely unreasonable.
Opera have said they have found a bug, have we seen a write-up in d.o.o? Have they made
any effort to contact any of the community for assistance? If it is a bug, submit it in
d.o.o, but there is the real possibility it's a case of "the standard says it works
like this, but Linux does it differently so we want to call it a bug because we can't be
bothered to read the standard."
If only I had a dollar for every time I've come across that one!
