If you use the Gnome desktop then the easiest way is to click on System on the Top Toolbar and then Administration, and finally the Package Manager icon. Then you can use the search box to find Wireshark and Tcpdump. I'm not sure if Skype is bundled as a pkg or not. >From the command line you can use pkg search to find the pkg name. Just hunt >for the binary. pkg search -r wireshark results in: basename file usr/sbin/wireshark pkg:/diagnostic/[email protected] so you know to use pkg install diagnostic/wireshark to install the pkg. ~$ pfexec pkg install diagnostic/wireshark DOWNLOAD PKGS FILES XFER (MB) alan -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
