Agreed. The conclusion I'm reaching (and of course not yet known for fact) is: (a) sol11 will be the commercial supported production product, industry standard. (b) 11express will be the non-production teaser, equivalent to sol11, but free only for personal use and (c) openindiana is what you want, if you require production worthy free OS. It will deviate some from sol11 & 11express, so it might not be suitable for some applications. But then again, there are a lot of compute clusters and web servers out there, which require free supportable OS with bugfixes and so forth.
